Wow, it's been a while since I posted. Kerstina took a minute yesterday to show me how to post a new message so hopefully from now I will keep things current.

Kira's first day of first grade was great! She loved it and is so glad to be back in school. I took her to her room in the morning and dropped her off with her teacher Mrs. Cox. She had a couple of friends in her class and was excited for the day.
Once Izzy, Emma and I returned home life was a little out of sorts. Emma wandered around all day asking over and over where Kira was. Izzy didn't know who to play with so she didn't play with much at all. I thought having one less at home would let me get a little more done, I was wrong, I mostly tried to entertain Izzy and Emma and keep them from fighting with each other. By 12:00 I was really wishing that Kira was there to entertain the two little ones. It made me realize just how much I really depend on her.
2:30 finally rolled around and we headed to the school with plenty of time to spare. We walked up to the front of the school but still had 10 minutes before school let out so I let the girls sit under a tree in the shade for a few minutes. Then we headed up to wait by the front doors.
We waited, and we waited, and we waited. All the first grade classes came and went and still no Kira. after a 1/2 hour of waiting I really started to panic. I checked her class room, it was empty. I checked the front lobby, no Kira. I finally found her teacher down at the bottom of the bus drive doing cross walk duty. As I walked closer to the kids in her class that were waiting for parents I thought I had finally found her, I scanned all the heads looking for shiny long blonde hair. My hopes fell as I realized that she was no where to be seen. I walked past the kids and approached her teacher with panic in my eyes.
When I asked where Kira was her teacher said that she had sent her up to Kerstina's room. Relief flooded through me and we headed once again up to the school to fetch Kira and Tiger.
We found the missing children and headed to the car with Izzy whining and complaining that she was too hot and thirsty.
It was an adventure!!!

I don't think I've seen Izzy since she was a baby and I didn't even know you had another daughter! I can't believe how much we've missed. I like blogger because I get to catch up on everyone's life. I love your cakes. Did you put your castle cake in the wilton contest? I also decorate cakes as a hobby.

How scary! Glad you found the kids. Does Tiger go to Creekview also?

Ya, Tiger has started at Creekview. He's had a rough couple of weeks making the adjustment, but I think he's finally made a few friends and he really likes his teacher. He misses his friends at Wellington, but he'll be fine. With a name like Tiger, it's really not hard for him to make friends. It really sparks their curiosity!

Kira is so funny at school. She is so outgoing and friendly that she wants to talk to everyone, especially adults. She loves Mrs. Atwood, the Principal, and tries to go and talk to her every chance she gets. I let her and Tiger hang out in my room before school starts in the morning and I think that the two of them are getting a little too comfortable. They stand at the door and tease my 2nd graders that are stuck outside. I'm going to have to put a stop to that before it gets to cold because that is just mean (he he). I wonder what it will be like if I'm her teacher next year!
